Come join our team at Ron's Auto Service! Full-time Automotive Service Tech needed. We are a family-owned, community-oriented shop located in Manatee County, near Creekwood and Lakewood Ranch. We are currently hiring for two full-time positions for our busy auto repair shop.
FULL LINE TECH - (Manatee County-Creekwood/Lakewood Ranch Area)
Current ASE Certification and a minimum of three years experience are required for full-line tech position. Master Tech is a plus. Your background should have a strong focus on Toyota, Honda and other Asian imports -- but have broad enough knowledge and experience to service domestic makes and models. Estimated pay starts $50k-$65k+ a year or up to $30/hr; based on level of training, experience, current certifications, and commission/bonuses.
Ideal candidate will have current ASE certification/s (or able/willing to take certification tests) and a minimum of 3+ years of training and experience in the auto service and repair industry. Preference is given to those experienced with Toyota, Honda and other Asian imports. AA in automotive and Master Tech is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the US and must pass a drug screen and background check prior to hire.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with excellent quality standards
- Diagnose the cause of malfunction/s and repair in a timely manner
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
- Explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to the service advisor and with customers
- Maintain a safe environment while keeping the customer's car clean
- Work diligently as a team player with a positive attitude
LUBE TECH POSITION- (Manatee County-Creekwood/Lakewood Ranch Area)
Automotive schooling is preferred but strong automotive knowledge and willingness to learn are required. Pay range starting at $15/hr based on experience.
Ideal candidate is honest, prompt, and reliable with a positive attitude. Must be legally authorized to work in the US, have a valid FL Driver’s License and a good driving record. Must be authorized to work in the US and must pass a drug screen and background check prior to hire.
